A lot of us don’t realize the significant change that is taking place around us every day – our population is aging at ever-increasing rate. Currently, approximately 12% of the US population or 35 million people are over the age of 65.  By 2030, that number is expected to double to 70 million with 1 out of 5 Americans over the age of 65.

It gets even more interesting regarding Baby Boomers. Typically characterized as those born between 1946-1964, this group is literally changing the face of aging. This group is rewriting the book on aging because they are more healthy, more active, travel more, work longer, and in general – want to live full lives for as long as possible.

That’s why we started Aging in Place USA. We want to help rewrite the book on getting older in America. Our job is to ensure that older Americans’ homes are safe and accessible for independent living.
